Victory In Christ

Some of you may know of my lifelong Lionel model railroad hobby. I am grateful that God has given me the wisdom to keep everything in proper perspective to my greater purpose here on earth. For He has said we believers must have “no other gods before Him.” 

As you know, God doesn’t have a problem with us having good things in our lives. But it does matter to Him how much importance we attach to those things. No Christian has the luxury of making an idol out of a hobby.

So, I am grateful that God cares enough about me to “keep me on track” (pardon the pun — LOL) so that He stays at the very top of my priorities. Our loving Heavenly Father speaks truth and assurance into my life that I will never go wrong by keeping Him first. 

“Don’t worship or serve idols of any kind, because I, the LORD, am your God” ~~ Exodus 20:5 (ERV).
