God is faithful today and every day. His angels surround all who trust in Him. For example here is the recent news story about a praying middle-aged, single woman from the Los Angeles area who prayed that the horrific fires we’ve all seen in the news would not touch her home. As the fires got closer, she got her watering hose out and watered all of her outdoor plants, tree branches that the stream of water from her hose could reach. She did all that she could do, then she prayed even more fervently as the winds carried embers that surrounded her home. She witnessed the raging firestorm, but having done all,she gave a prayer of thanks. She rested while waiting. She hadn’t even had time to evacuate. So she entrusted her life to her Lord to keep her safe. In short, she believed for a miracle.
The fire came and swept by her home; and all the homes around hers and the entire neighborhood were reduced to ashes; yet her home still stood unscathed. God had sent His angels to keep her property and life from destruction.
Hallelujah for the shield of faith and hedge of protection that surrounded her and us who believe. God is a miracle—worker! He still delivers and protects like He did the three Hebrew children (in Daniel 3) who lived through the fiery furnace. We dead in verses 26-27: “Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire. And the governors and the king’s counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.”
In the midst of this horrific scenario God was present. God sent His mighty angels to keep her and her home safe from harm, too. He will shelter you in the midst of your storm and bring you out in victory as you pray and trust God!

I want to share the recent news story about a praying middle-aged, single woman from the Los Angeles area who prayed that the horrific fires we’ve all seen in the news would not touch her home. As the fires got closer, she got her watering hose out and watered all of her outdoor plants, tree branches that the stream of water from her hose could reach, as well as the grass. While praying, she did what she could do… then she prayed even more fervently as the winds carried embers that surrounded her home. She witnessed the raging firestorm, but having done all she could do, she gave a prayer of thanks. She rested while waiting. She hadn’t even had time to evacuate.
