Victory In Christ

The Bible says “the power of Death and Life is in your tongue” ~~ Proverbs 18:21. 

The words we speak can encourage folks or discourage them. They can inspire people and help build their faith or they can cause division and strife. Blessing and cursing can come out of our mouths, but the Bible says “Out of the heart, the mouth speaks!” ~~ Luke 6:45. 

What we say out loud lets people know what is in our heart. 

The Bible says in the previous verses that what we speak is sort of like a fruit tree. “No good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit. People do not pick figs from thorn bushes, or grapes from briers”  ~~ Luke 6:43-44. 

Oral Roberts, the founder of ORU, my Alma mater, taught that we should “Expect A Miracle.”  Speaking forth blessings, healing words that mend relationships. 

“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” ~~ Hebrews 13:15.
