What does it mean to acknowledge the Lord? 

The dictionary defines the word ACKNOWLEDGE like this:

1.  To accept or admit the existence or truth of.

2. To  recognize the fact or importance or quality of.

Synonyms are: admit, accept, allow, confess, appreciate, recognize, subscribe to, bow to,   with, respect, cooperate with, and agree with.

The root word means TO KNOW. Knowing or acknowledging Jesus Christ is a transformative experience, a deep personal relationship.

Have you acknowledged Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord of your life? Do you KNOW Him? Or do you simply KNOW ABOUT HIM? There is an immense difference. Jesus said:  “If you had known me, you would also have known my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him” ~~ John 14:7. 

“And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent” ~~ John 17:3. 

“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him”~~ 1 John 2:3-4.
