Giving

In the New Testament, we are taught that “it’s more blessed to give than to receive.” (Acts 20:35).  And Jesus encourages us to give to everyone who asks of us (Luke 6:30). He also keeps track of our giving as we learn in Proverbs: “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and He will repay him for his deed” (Proverbs 19:17), and in Matthew 10:42: “And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.”

For my ministry, though, I will rarely share specifics of how God uses my giving or charitable deeds.  For if we seek to be rewarded by people by bragging about what we do, the Bible says we would then be forfeiting our eternal reward. (Matthew 6:5-6).

Yet concerning my ministry of Victory in Christ, from time to time I will be sharing various projects and the potential price of the financial investment needed to complete them.  And I will keep you posted so that you can rejoice with me on how God answers prayer.
