When did the Early Church Meet?

Early Church followers of Jesus (who called themselves ‘The Way’ met on the first day of the week which was the day of Jesus’ resurrection. And even today the majority of the 42,000 Christian denominations meet to worship the Lord on Sunday.

The Apostle Paul and the Christians of Troas, gathered on “the Lord’s Day” (Sunday) “to break bread” Acts 20:7: “Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight.”

“On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the disciples had gathered together and locked the doors of the place because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, ‘Peace be with you’” ~~ John 20:19.

“On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside some income and save it to the extent that God has blessed you, so that a collection will not have be made when I come” ~~ 1 Corinthians 16:2.

Personally I meet on Tuesdays in a home church setting for Bible teaching, worship, prayer, and fellowship. Let’s not become legalistic about it. Let’s simply MEET!
