Is Predestination Biblical? (Your Thoughts)

Most Christians (whether they know it or not)  lean more toward Calvinism or Arminianism. The two basic Protestant views of salvation. Actually both are correct. Both views are emphasized in the Bible while much of the controversy concerns the biblical concept of PREDESTINATION:

“For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified” ~~ Romans 8:29-30.

“In love He predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will—to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One he loves” ~~ Ephesians 1:4-5.

“And in Him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will” ~~ Ephesians 1:11.

ARMINIANISM

“For it is impossible to restore again to repentance those who have once been enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, since on their own they are crucifying again the Son of God and are holding him up to contempt” ~~ Hebrews 6:4-6 (NRSV).
