On this day in 2022 when this photo was taken, we didn’t even give a thought that it would be the beginning of our last year together on earth. Here is what I wrote then:
Today Kathy and I celebrate our 49th wedding anniversary. We have so much for which to be thankful. Certainly we still have some unanswered prayers, but God is faithful as He promised. We continue to trust Him and live in His presence. We praise Him and give Him thanks each day; for truly His blessings overflow to our family for generations to come!
To Kathy I say: “I love you and cherish you, my beautiful wife; and I’m wishing you a happy anniversary and many more years together. I have grown more in love with you than I ever thought possible, and I am so grateful to God that we met over 50 years ago at ORU.
Kathy suddenly passed away after surgery July 1, 2023.
