My Ministry Motto: Christ In Us

When a Christian picks a scripture as a “motto” to live by, many verses come to mind.  For myself, I first thought of the biblical phrase and promise “We have the mind of Christ.”

Then, all the scriptures that we share when leading someone to salvation (termed: The Roman Road) are possibilities.

I share all the time in this blog that “We have the victory in Christ!” The phrase “Victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” is a core concept in Christianity, stemming from the belief that salvation and overcoming challenges in life are achieved through faith in Jesus. Specifically, 1 Corinthians 15:57 states, “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!” Our victory isn’t earned by our own efforts but is a gift from God and made possible through Jesus’ sacrifice.

But that’s not where it begins. First of all we must have Christ in us! … the anointing power of the Spirit of God that comes when become born anew.  We become “Empowered by Christ’s Anointing!” It’s the same power that dwelt in Jesus (the Son of Man) so that the world would know Him also as the Son of God. We believe in Jesus, the Christ; and we receive the same anointing Jesus has:

So I chose for my motto “Christ IN you, the hope of glory!”

“God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” ~~ Colossians 1:27.

Then we have victory which follows having Christ in us.

“But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. Wherever we go, God uses us to make clear what it means to know Christ. It’s like a fragrance that fills the air” ~~ 2 Corinthians 2:14 (GW)
