As we read in Genesis 1:26-28, God gave mankind sovereignty over the earth — all the animals and every living thing that moves on the earth. God delegated this authority to us. Since God honors His Word above His Name, God cannot interfere with the affairs of man because He cannot go back on His Word. God has integrity.
But mankind gave our authority over to the devil. Now we are tempted, we sin, we get sick, and through other means the enemy robs us of life! Yet Jesus bought back our authority over the devil as it says in Ephesians 1:18-23. So our inheritance is secure because of the finished work of Jesus at Calvary! Nevertheless we have choices whether we allow or disallow satan to interfere with our lives.
In conclusion, let us choose to have Jesus be our Lord as well as Savior so that through Him we will defeat the devil’s attempts to mess with our lives. Jesus paid the price to buy us back into wonderful fellowship with the Godhead. Praise the Lord!
Jesus came to give us life and that more abundantly! Amen.
