The Bible says we are to trust the Lord God. Why should we? Because He is faithful and true. His Word gives us life — now and for eternity. So we acknowledge Him before others and share the good news of salvation that we have heard and have taken to heart.
“Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the Land, and to be friend of faithfulness. Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will act” ~~ Psalms 37:3-5.
“It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans”~~ Psalms 118:8.
“Those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O LORD, have not forsaken those who seek you” ~~ Psalms 9-10.
“Those who win souls are wise” ~~ Proverbs 11:30b.
