As a prayer intercessor, at the end of every day, I cast all of the cares I heard about (and prayed for throughout the day) on the Lord. I must unburden my soul of all the troubles, sicknesses, relationship issues, and abuses I hear about over the phone. The need is too great for people, even pastors, to bear. We weren’t meant to bear it. But God is able. He’s a miracle working God. Our hope is in Him. Jesus never changes. He hears and answers prayer. Our faith is in Him. His promises are true. We hear from the Lord, and we obey. Then He gets the glory for the outcome. We pastors are not in control. Believers are daily to submit themselves to the Lordship of Jesus, and then trust Him.
