Intimacy with God

Have you invited God into every corner of your life? Do you know what intimacy with the Lord Jesus is like? Do you fellowship with and commune with the Holy Spirit? Has your very life been set apart unto God? Or do you simply  pray a few minutes a day or week and maybe read a devotion, say ‘grace’ at the dinner table and then go about the rest of your day or week and not think about God?

God is calling you into daily, and even moment by moment fellowship and communion with Him.  The Internet has it right:

“Intimacy with God involves a deep, personal, and loving relationship with Him, characterized by trust, obedience, and a desire to know Him more deeply. It’s more than just understanding religious concepts; it’s about experiencing God personally and being transformed by His love — seeking a close and personal relationship (like a friendship) with Him. Intimacy with God implies drawing near to Him, abiding in Him, and seeking His face. This includes seeking God with all your heart, living for Him, and trusting Him with your whole life.”

Make prayer a daily practice: talk to God, share your joys, sorrows, and needs with Him. Make God a central focus in your daily life, allowing Him to shape your thoughts, words, and actions. Trust in God’s plan for your life, even when it’s uncertain or challenging. Listen for His voice — then strive to follow His leading and receive His peace.

Ephesians 5:19 instructs Christians to “Be filled with the Spirit of God — speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”

This verse emphasizes the importance of both communal and individual worship, expressing praise and gratitude to God through music, whether outwardly with the voice or inwardly with the heart.
