As a prayer intercessor I pray with hundreds of Believers each month. One person however surprisingly shared that she has been experiencing an enormous amount of fear and dread possibly rooted in para phobia, paranoia, and even mental illness. I had such compassion on her and urged her to read the promises in the Word, truly trust God every moment of every day, and learn to recognize when the enemy causes her to fear — especially of evil things that “could” happen to her and her property. There is too much to relate here how God had me minister to her. It was obvious, though, that she was not “receiving” what I shared. But we know that the Word will not return void. Read these verses: 2 Corinthians 4:3-5: “Even if our gospel message is veiled, it is only veiled to those who are perishing, for their minds have been blinded by the god of this age, leaving them in unbelief. Their blindness keeps them from seeing the dayspring light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the divine image of God”~~ 2 Cor. 4:3-4 (TPT). Jesus taught: “Do not fear, only believe” in Mark 5:36. Also every Christian is given a certain amount of faith, (Eph. 2:8-9), and it is up to us to use it to resist the lies and evil thoughts that come to our minds. As this woman constantly thought and expected the worst to happen, I assured her that she could trust our faithful God to give her a calming peace, hope, and joy if she will just ask Him to give her the mind of Christ. I prayed that she would receive a full salvation and be filled with the Spirit. (Eph. 5:18). “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus” ~~ Philippians 4:7. But unfortunately while on the call I did not see her receive what I shared. Like in the 2 Cor. 4 passage above says: her mind was blinded to the truth. I pray she will hear from the Lord and be delivered.
