Is it possible to be truly joyful? We may receive God’s joy after we place our faith in Jesus. Real joy is rooted in this and the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives. For He says, “I have loved you the same way the Father has loved Me. So live in My love. If you obey My commandments, you will live in My love. I have obeyed My Father’s commandments, and in that way I live in His love. I have told you this so that you will be as joyful as I am, and your joy will be complete. Love each other as I have loved you.
This is what I’m commanding you to do. The greatest love you can show is to give your life for your friends” ~~ John 15:9-12.
Joy isn’t something we manufacture on our own. It’s a fruit of the Spirit that grows as we read in Galatians 5:22-23a: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.”
“But be happy as you share Christ’s sufferings. Then you will also be full of joy when He appears again in His glory. If you are insulted because of the Name of Christ Jesus, you are blessed because the Spirit of glory (the Spirit of God) is resting on you ~~ 1 Peter 4:13-14
“The joy of the Lord is your strength” ~~ Nehemiah 8:10b.
”In Your presence is fullness of joy” ~~ Psalms 16:11.
