Moseying down the road of life with Jesus. I’m enjoying “the ride” with “Jesus at the wheel” as we used to say. I don’t like careening around corners and zooming dangerously at breakneck speeds. It’s unsafe and unwise. I want to enjoy life and not need to react when things don’t go my way. In case you don’t know… to mosey is to walk or drive slowly — to take your time. It’s not the fastest way to get somewhere, but sometimes it’s the best way to go. Moseying is a forgotten art.
Mammaw used to like putting puzzles together on our dining room table. You just can’t rush a puzzle. You have to mosey your way through it. You’ll get there eventually.
So today, try asking the Lord to let the day or the weeks ahead come to you instead of trying to make things happen. That way you won’t miss the blessings along the road of life.
God weaves every detail of our lives together for our good. He is the conductor of the orchestra of our lives. Even seemingly random or negative experiences are part of a larger, purposeful design.
So, instead of making a mental list of all the things you think you need to do, give the day to Jesus, and let Him guide you along. Today, I’m just moseying along with Jesus. It feels real good.
“…we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good” ~~ Romans 8:28 (MSG).
