Have you ever studied the subject of curses? There are many types of kinds of curses and reasons for them. Obviously, Christians should want to eliminate every evil influence that affects their lives. If you experience sickness, financial pressure, strained relationships, or other struggles that just won’t go away, these may not be accidental, some could be because of an spiritual force of the devil at work.
Derek Prince writes that if you continue to have financial insufficiency that it may be the outworking of a financial curse as Deuteronomy 28:47-48 explains: “Because you did not serve the LORD your God joyfully and gladly in the time of prosperity, therefore in hunger and thirst, in nakedness and dire poverty, you will serve the enemies the LORD sends against you.”
In conclusion: “prosperity is a blessing and poverty is a curse. God’s will for His people is abundance, as Paul summed up in 2 Corinthians 9:8: ‘And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.’ Poverty is having less than you need to accomplish God’s will for your life. Abundance, on the other hand, is having all you need to do God’s will — and something beyond to give to others.”
If this is applicable in your life, trust Jesus to set you free! For “Jesus became a curse that we might receive the blessing” ~~ Galatians 3:13-14.
This truth — Faith in Jesus Christ as your Provider — is the basis of your deliverance so you can begin to live in the blessings of Christ.
