Here Dutch Sheets reveals the true meaning of the word PRODIGAL.
“The word “prodigal” doesn’t mean what most people normally think of when using the term–rebellious, running away, or backsliden. The word actually means TO WASTE OR SQUANDER. The young man in Scriptures was wasting and squandering his inheritance as well as his destiny, identity, and purpose in life. The riches were only part of his losses. Restoration meant not only having his needs met once again, but having his signet ring of sonship and authority restored.”
I pray that we as believers do not become prodigals — wasting the authority and opportunities god gives us in life. We must return wholeheartedly to god and allow Him to use us as He wishes. When given authority, let us use it boldly to proclaim, to pray, to witness, and tell others of His love, grace, and full salvation! Agreed?
“ˈprɒdɪɡəl ) adjective. 1. recklessly wasteful or extravagant, as in disposing of goods or money.” ~~ Collin’s dictionary.
