Because of God’s love for mankind: “…the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say NO to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age while we wait for the blessed hope — the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ” ~~ Titus 2:11-13.
“Remind them to be submissive to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people … But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, He saved us, not by works done of righteousness which we have done but according to His own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior” ~~ Titus 3:1-6.
“It is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast” ~~ Ephesians 2:8-9.
