Victory In Christ

Marilyn Hickey once said about God: “Spend time with Him—He will show you what to do in every situation.”

Proverbs 4:20-22 teaches: us all: “My son, GIVE ATTENTION to My words; incline your ear to My sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them and health to their whole body.” 

Spending time with God through prayer, worship, and quiet meditation tunes our souls and awakens our heart so that we can hear the Lord speak. The Holy Spirit refuses to shout above the clamor of our busy lives. But if we quiet ourselves and listen for His voice, He will speak to us. But God won’t speak until are quietly waiting for Him. The Bible calls this His “still small voice” ~~ 1 Kings 19:12.

 Do you need wisdom, ask quietly — demonstrating that you are interested in His words. If you do so, the Lord will speak and give you the knowledge and wisdom you seek.
