The Fourth Quarter of Life

ORU’s business professor emeritus Dr Henry Migliore wrote a book on living in the 4th quarter of our lives.  He wrote: “Games are won or lost depending upon your drive to succeed after middle age.”

Many of us are in this 4th quarter of life. Yet inside we feel like we are still young and have all the time in the world.  But practically, Wow! As one of his students once quipped: “Apparently we may find ourselves in a Sudden Death Overtime situation.”

But all things are possible with God! Nothing is too difficult for Him. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

So, let’s not waste the final quarter. We are still here for a purpose — maybe known only to God.

Do you have a dream and you haven’t acted on it or even attempted to take the first step to fulfill it? Why not start today! Then trust God to open doors and give you His favor, divinely-arranged opportunities, and provision. Pray! And finally, do your best every day. As Oral Roberts taught: “Expect A Miracle!”
