No Grumbling or Complaining

I have found that complaining and grumbling hinders my spiritual progress. In fact, I find I have less joy, peace, and hope when I pour out my complaints to God and others.  But when I give God a sacrifice of praise instead, when I forgive others of offenses, and I trust in God’s goodness and love, my faith and hope increase.

“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling” ~~ 1 Peter 4:8-9.

“Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged” ~~ James 5:9  (NIV).

“Do all things without grumbling or questioning” ~~ Philippians 2:14 (ESV).

“Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” ~~ 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (ESV).

“A joyful, cheerful heart brings healing to both body and soul. But the one whose heart is crushed struggles with sickness and depression” ~~ Proverbs 17:22 (TPT).
