I, for one, choose to seek the Lord every day, hear from Him personally, and keep on seeking Him until I have peace regarding a choice to make or what to do. Our God discerns our thoughts and intentions, and He promises to give us His Word and lead us in the paths of righteousness.
Lazy or immature Christians want their pastor or someone else to “give them a word.” Their excuse is that they “don’t know how to hear Him” for themselves. But I have found that when I seek Him with my whole heart, He is with me to hear and answer my prayer, and to guide and provide. So, as we encounter situations where we need to “hear from the Lord,” then let us purpose to set ourselves to really seek Him and listen for that still, small Voice of the Holy Spirit. He is faithful. He is the Living Word of God.
“So above all, constantly seek God’s kingdom and his righteousness, then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly” ~~ Matthew 6:33 (TPT).
