We’re Fruit Inspectors

Anyone can say they are a Christian, but Father God in His wisdom designed righteousness to be lived out in relationships. Our love for God may begin vertically, but it is revealed horizontally—in patience, forgiveness, humility, and love for others.

We are called to be fruit inspectors.

Jesus teaches us to recognize spiritual fruit, not to judge roots (Matthew 7:1–20). We are called to observe what a life produces, while leaving motives and hidden places to God.

Life unfolds through ordinary, daily choices: our health, our work, our finances, our homes, and our families. None of these exist in isolation but are woven together with the people God has placed in our lives. That is why Jesus invites us to seek the Father’s Kingdom and His righteousness each day, trusting that what we truly need will follow. He never asked us to fixate on timelines or argue over matters that do little to shape our walk with Him. Remember that indecision, too, is a choice, and often one that keeps us from peace.

Most moments in life call for a response rather than a reaction. A response is shaped by wisdom and grace; a reaction is driven by emotion and haste.

The heart of my ministry is to help protect people from wounds that leave lasting scars and to bring healing where those wounds already exist. Bruises may come—they are part of life—but healing is always God’s desire.

There are times we cannot rescue someone who is committed to a story that excuses their brokenness. Even then, we can entrust them to God.

“Beware of false teachers who come disguised as harmless sheep, but are wolves and will tear you apart. You can detect them by the way they act, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit. You need never confuse grapevines with thorn bushes or figs with thistles. Different kinds of fruit trees can quickly be identified by examining their fruit. A variety that produces delicious fruit never produces an inedible kind. And a tree producing an inedible kind can’t produce what is good. So the trees having the inedible fruit are chopped down and thrown on the fire. Yes, the way to identify a tree or a person is by the kind of fruit produced” ~~ Matthew 7:15-20 (TLB)
