It’s only natural for the followers of Jesus to meet on the day of his resurrection which was the very center of there belief (even today this is the main day for a majority of all the Christians to worship.)
The Apostle Paul and the Christians of Troas, gathered on the Lord’s Day (Sunday) “to break bread”
“Now on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul, ready to depart the next day, spoke to them and continued his message until midnight” ~~ Acts 20:7.
“On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the disciples had gathered together and locked the doors of the place because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, “’Peace be with you’” ~~ John 20:19.
“On the first day of the week, each of you should set aside some income and save it to the extent that God has blessed you, so that a collection will not have to be made when I come” ~~ 1 Corinthians 16:2.
