The Faith of God

Our responsibility is to hear and respond to the Lord’s call by faith. But how do believers hear God’s voice — that “still, small voice” we so often hear about? For me, I’ve never heard Him audibly, though I realize some have.

Scripture teaches that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God; so, we primarily hear the Lord through His Word. And additionally the Holy Spirit guides us by giving impressions and directing our thoughts throughout our day.

We operate in “The Faith of God” — faith that originates with Him, not us. God imparts faith to our spirits through His Word, giving each person a measure of His faith. Our role is to receive and internalize His promise, then act on that word of faith. We respond by trusting His love and will, with God as our Source. Ultimately, the responsibility rests with Him, not us, as we walk in the knowledge of Christ’s mind with the Spirit of wisdom at work within us.

Quote by Rev. John Fair:  “UNDERSTAND that the Believer’s Responsibility is to have a Faith Attitude —Then the Results are God’s Responsibility.”

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1-2).

“Blessed are those who believe without having seen” ~~ John 20:29.
