Victory In Christ

Have you heard of deliverance ministries-those where “ministers” claim to discern demons, generational curses, and similar issues in people? My view is that many of these are not ministering the pure deliverance message of Jesus. Instead, they often speak from their own minds and imaginations, sometimes even engaging in harmful or “evil” speech.

Demons are real, but Jesus did not counsel people or analyze them as He ministered. He spoke directly to the problem, and the evil left the individual. Likewise, we are not constantly engaged in a spiritual war as if the outcome were uncertain. We are more than conquerors through Christ in us. We have authority through the Word of God and the Name and Blood of Jesus, and when led by the Holy Spirit, we will see the desired results. We simply pray and believe.

At the same time, no one should present himself as someone special. That posture comes from pride, and pride is clearly operating in the wrong spirit. 

Is there a biblical ministry of deliverance? YES! Let’s use Jesus’ method.
