Jesus Christ is “The Door”

Revelation 3:7-8 teaches that Jesus holds the key and has absolute authority to open doors no one can shut and to close doors for protection or redirection. Entry into God’s kingdom and family, though, is entirely under His authority. In John 10:7-9, Jesus declares, “I am the door.” Salvation is found only through His finished work on the cross and His resurrection from the grave. He alone is the entrance to salvation, our spiritual security, and restored relationship with God. He is like a shepherd who stands in the doorway of the sheepfold, guarding his flock. As God’s only Son, He separates Himself from every false path to salvation. By faith in His sacrificial death and the shedding of His sinless blood, believers are forgiven, freed from sin’s penalty, brought into peace with God, protected from judgment, and given new life. We enter through this door by receiving His gift through faith. As Revelation 3:20 says, He stands at the door and knocks, inviting us to respond. And in John 14:6, He affirms that He is the only way to the Father.

Jesus said: “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction” ~~ Matthew 7:13.
