Since we have been “Raised with Christ” according to Colossians 3:2, we must have heavenly mindsets. This earthly life is temporary. Our eternal home is with God — whether in Heaven or here in the New Earth, ultimately we are citizens of heaven according to Philippians 3:20. Our lives are hidden with Christ in God” (Colossians 3:3). This compels us to have a mindset — thinking upon Godly things. So let’s look unto Jesus Who is seated in Heaven next to Father God. But it is much harder to fixate upon God and heavenly things when we are bombarded with social media, news, and sports. If we don’t understand that, it will be ever so much more difficult to keep our eyes on Jesus. For myself, I have made it a habit to read the Bible and pray daily— then again at night. This takes discipline and intentionality. But because we abide in Christ, I am enthusiastic and passionate worshiping the Lord and reading His Word. It is so worth it!
