Repent & Be Forgiven!

Both John the Baptist and Jesus Himself urged all people everywhere to repent, for the kingdom of God was at hand.  But we don’t hear much about repentance in church services these days. We may pray for revival, but we don’t really know what that entails. In 2 Chronicles 7:14 God says: “If My people who are called by My Name shall humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

This is what we must do. “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord” ~~ Acts 3:19.

And when we repent, we don’t return to a god that MIGHT

forgive us. We don’t return to a god that MIGHT redeem us.  Our God HAS forgiven us. He HAS redeemed us through the shedding of Jesus’ blood on the cross. He paid it once and for all. Jesus promises to “cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” All we need to do is ask Him sincerely and receive His free gift of salvation once and for all! Amen!
