Resting in God
There is a place in God that is available to all who have made Jesus the Lord of their lives where we cease to strive or worry or be anxious anymore. The foundation of this place is grace — a place of rest and d perfect peace. We can only enter into it by faith. (Hebrews 4:1, Ephesians 2:8)
Grace is abundant - never in short supply. For those who humble themselves, God readily pours out this life-giving overcoming power without reserve.
In all of His wisdom, God chooses to look at us through the eyes of grace. He doesn't see our flaws and errors as detriments, but He sees us as a work in progress. Grace creates a stability in God upon which we can rely with a greater confidence than anything else known to man. In order to understand God's grace it is crucial for us to move away from the concept of earning His approval. Through grace, we are already approved and made righteous. So we stop trying to earn God's love and simply accept it. Grace just doesn't simply describe God. Grace is Who He is. Let's enter into that place of rest in Him. Let's make the decision today to press in further to living by faith.
"Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it" ~~ Hebrews 4:1.
"May the grace of the Lord Jesus— the Anointed One— be with all the saints; Amen." ~~ Revelation 22:21 (VOICE).
“This is what the Lord your God says to you: ‘In sitting still and rest shall you will be saved; In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength’” ~~ Isaiah 30:15a.
