The Atheists’ Prayer

Have you ever thought about “The Atheists’ Prayer”?  When a person is at the end of his rope — totally hopeless with nowhere to go and no one to turn to, often out of the depths of their spirit they’ll reach out to a God they have never believed in and pray as it were: “O God, if there is a God, save my soul, if I have a soul.”

And what do you think the Lord’s response will be to that kind of prayer? Will He reject the person because of their doubt and unbelief? No. God will meet that person right where they are. He’ll reveal Himself to them.

God constantly reaches out to the hearts of people when they sincerely call out upon His Name. Certainly God will open their understanding of His presence, love, and care.
