The Significance of Nisan 17

According to Rev. Dutch Sheets — today is the day. Nisan, the first month on God’s calendar (Exodus 12:2) marks both creation and redemption — the “new creation” through the Cross — making it a season of miracles and God’s spoken power: “Let there be…” (Genesis 1).

These milestone victories occurred on Nisan 17: Noah’s ark rested, Israel entered and later left Egypt (crossing the Red Sea), they ate their first harvest in the Promised Land, Jericho’s Walls fell, Hezekiah restored the temple, Esther saw Haman defeated, and ultimately — Jesus rose from the dead.

Across generations, God aligned these events to point to one truth: complete victory; and ALL of these events occurred on Nisan 17.
