Be careful to test every teaching — truth matters, and many believe things that aren’t rooted in Scripture. Sometimes it’s tradition or opinion, and sometimes people simply haven’t studied the Bible for themselves. For example, we don’t have to “tarry” to receive from God — Christ lives in us. We ask and receive (Matthew 18:19; John 16:24).
Saying “Help is on the way” — isn’t biblical since Jesus helps us now.
And joy isn’t delayed; through the Holy Spirit, it’s present and available regardless of circumstances (Psalms 45:7).
There are many other ideas like this, but the point isn’t to argue — it’s to encourage you to know God’s Word for yourself.
