A Reminder

The Lord gently reminded me — through a dear ORU friend — of His unfailing faithfulness in every season of need. How quickly we can forget, and yet how graciously He brings us back to remember. Today I recognize afresh my deep need for His leading, His wisdom, His anointing, and His continued favor upon my life. So we pray with confidence: “O my God, I trust in You; let me not be ashamed” ~~ Psalms 25:20.

And we take hold of His invitation in Jeremiah 33:3: “Call unto Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

What a promise — that the God of Heaven not only hears us, but answers us, revealing mysteries beyond our understanding.

Then our hearts rejoice as we read in Isaiah: “Do not fear, for you will not be ashamed; neither be disgraced, for you will not be put to shame” ~~ Isaiah 54:4.

Fear loses its grip when faith takes hold. Shame has no authority where God has spoken assurance.

And how beautifully Proverbs 3:5–7 (MSG) reminds us: “Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go. He’s the one who will keep you on track. Don’t assume that you know it all. Run to God!”

This is our posture — humble trust, attentive hearts, surrendered plans. Hallelujah! Our confidence is not in our understanding, our timing, or our strength. We trust in God — and He is faithful!
