Thank God that in Christ we have become a new creation!
It is true that through Jesus’ death on the cross our sins were fully forgiven — His shed blood brought cleansing, mercy, and forgiveness from sin. Yet the full reality of our new life was revealed and secured through His Resurrection.
Before the Resurrection, even though forgiveness was accomplished, humanity remained under the power of the “old self.” But through the Resurrection, everything changed. We were not only forgiven — we were made new. We passed from spiritual death into life and were given a new identity in Christ. Now, instead of fearing judgment, we are invited into intimacy with God. We belong in His presence.
Christ’s blood grants us forgiveness and cleansing, while His Resurrection opens the way into having a living access and relationship with God.
As Scripture declares: “Let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most” ~~ Hebrews 4:16.
And as members of the Church of the Firstborn all our names have been legally registered as citizens of heaven! And we have come before God who judges all, and who lives among the spirits of the righteous who have been made perfect in His eyes!” ~~ Hebrews 12:22-23 (TPT).
Through the Resurrection, God now sees us as new creations — transformed, free from the past, and walking in victory over sin with a living hope. You see, something profound has taken place in our relationship with Him. Before the Resurrection, Jesus was the only begotten Son of God. But after rising from the dead, He is called the firstborn among many brothers (Romans 8:29) and the firstborn from the dead (Colossians 1:18). Because of this, we are now brought into God’s family — not just forgiven, but adopted and accepted as His own. This is our blessed hope:
Just as Christ was raised, we too will be raised and glorified. And even now, through His Resurrection life, we have direct access to God and can live daily in His presence. Hallelujah!
