Christians overcome habitual sin by removing temptation triggers, confessing God’s promises, seeking accountability, and relying daily on God’s grace. Like Job, who said, “I made a covenant with my eyes” (Job 31:1),
Believers guard their hearts and avoid situations that lead to sin.
Scripture calls us not to let sin rule our lives but to present ourselves to God as instruments of righteousness (Romans 6:12–13).
“As we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, purifies us from all sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” ~~ 1 John 1:7-9 (NIV).
