People often ask why they haven’t yet received the answer after prayer—whether from their church, a prayer line, or someone like me. The answer is not necessarily a lack of faith. We pray according to God’s Word, release our faith, and trust Him to hear and answer.
If the answer doesn’t come right away—or at all—we don’t become angry with God or lose faith. We continue to ask, seek, and knock, trusting our Sovereign Lord.
Over the years, I have prayed about serious situations that were not resolved as I hoped. Yet God has taught me to trust Him, quiet my soul, and resist anxious thoughts. Matthew 18:19 is true, and so is Romans 8:28.
Folks, we have so much for which to be grateful to God. We are abundantly blessed.
“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; do not fret or become anxious with worry” ~~ Psalm 37:7.
“The moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good” ~~ Romans 8:27-28 (MSG).
We pray believing, then rest in the Lord and wait upon Him. May His will be done.
