We can best face the future with hope and in faith by recalling and remembering God’s faithfulness through the years. Recall those times He healed you, provided for you, and carried you through difficulties when there seemed to be no way. Make a list of His past miracles and provisions. If God has brought you through before, why would He fail you now?
As “The Imperials” song from 1969 says, “He didn’t bring us this far to leave us. He didn’t bring us this far to let us down.” God’s promises point to a hope-filled future.
There is something powerful about remembering yesterday’s victories. These strengthen our faith and bring fresh confidence for tomorrow.
This promise encourages all of us — where God says: “For I know the plans I have for you… plans for your welfare and not for evil, to give you a bright future and a hope” ~~ Jeremiah 29:11.
“What can I offer the Lord for all He has done for me? I will lift up the cup of salvation and praise the Lord’s name for saving me” ~~ Psalms 116:12-13 (NLT).
