     The Bible never identifies “Palestine” as a nation. The term Philistia appears only once (Joel 3:4), referring to the coastal region inhabited by the Philistines, who disappeared as a distinct people by 586 BC. The land was known biblically as Israel, the land God gave to Jacob (Israel) and his descendants (Genesis 28:13–14) 4000 years ago when Abraham was 99 years old.

     In the New Testament, “Israel” primarily refers to the people, but it also refers to the land itself (Matthew 2:20–21; 10:23). Therefore, describing the land of Jesus’ day as “Palestine” is historically and biblically inaccurate. It has been “the land of Israel” 🇮🇱 

The Arab presence in the region became significant after the 7th century AD, following the rise of Islam and the Muslim conquest of the area. (From the Internet)
