Victory In Christ

Jesus taught in John 3:1–8 that through the new birth we become a new creation, born from above. Our spirit is made alive in Christ, we pass from death to life, and we are raised to fellowship with the Father, seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6; John 5:24).

While our spirit is instantly regenerated, our soul—our mind, will, and emotions—is transformed progressively through God’s Word (Hebrews 4:12). The new birth is not the finish line but the beginning of a lifelong journey of spiritual growth.

God’s purpose extends far beyond saving us from judgment. Through the Holy Spirit, He is conforming us to the image of Christ and calling us to spiritual maturity. Rather than remaining spiritual infants, we are to grow together “unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13), bringing glory to Him.
