Jesus Is Pushing My Cart

One of my pastors recently gave an illustration of a young child in a shopping cart with the dad pushing it. The baby doesn’t care or even know of all that is going on … which aisle his dad is going down. He is happy and feels safe – actually IS safe as long as his eyes are focused on his dad’s. We as adults don’t need to look around at what is going on around us. God is pleased when we trust in Him and keep our eyes — our focus upon Him.

As adult believers, we give our day to God every morning — every day. And He leads, guides, directs … like that dad with the baby. We may feel helpless as individuals, but God’s care is everlasting; and we are safe.

And we can declare “You, God, are trustworthy. I give You permission to guide my thoughts, my steps, my life.
