Jesus was anointed by the Holy Spirit to proclaim good news. In Luke 4:18, He declared His mission: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel.”
The evangelist carries this same good news—hope for the poor, healing for the brokenhearted, freedom for the captive, and sight for those who cannot see. Through Jesus, the Gospel brings hope, healing, freedom, and salvation.
