Jesus’ Death at Calvary

When Jesus Christ voluntarily gave up His life and died on the cross, though He (as God’s only Son) was without sin, He took upon Himself our punishment. Jesus redeems all who put their faith and trust in Him through God’s grace and by our faith. Because of His sacrifical death, we receive total forgiveness and are restored to a right relationship with God.

“God demonstrated His own love for us in this: While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us” ~~ Romans 5:8.

“God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” ~~ 2 Corinthians 5:18.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” ~~ 1 John 1:9.
