What does it mean to be spiritually mature? And are we even supposed to judge the spirituality of people?

God wants us to have discernment, be wise, and become mature ourselves. Here is what the Word has to say: “You should be mature in Christ by now, but you are still babes!" ~~ Hebrews 5:12.

"Dear brothers and sisters, when I was with you I couldn't talk to you as I would to spiritual people. I had to talk as though you belonged to this world or as though you were infants in the Christian life" ~~ 1 Corinthians 3:1 (NLT).

"So get rid of all evil behavior. Be done with all deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Like newborn babies, you must crave pure spiritual milk so that you will grow into a full experience of salvation" ~~ 1 Peter 2:1-2.

Paul writes that he wishes that “all [would] attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature person, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ” ~~ Ephesians 4:13. (NLT)

“The person who walks with God will not fear evil tidings; His heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord” ~~ Psalms 112:7.
