Sometimes we Christians think that in every situation we are supposed to be strong even when it appears we are losing badly. But actually even the Apostle Paul acknowledged that he didn't feel like an overcomer but rather "weak." Here is what he said:

"My strength is made perfect in weakness ... I take pleasure in weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and in difficulties, for the sake of Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong" ~~ 2 Corinthians 12:9b,10.

Then there is God's eternal promise to us: β€œHe has said, 'I will never [under any circumstances] desert you [nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless], nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you [assuredly not]!'" ~~ Hebrews 13:5 (AMP).

"And... being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light"  ~~ Colossians 1:10-12.

So we are confident IN HIM! Not in our own ability or strength. Praise His Name!
