Have Compassion

A pastor friend of mine taught this recently: “Every time you see compassion with the Lord, it is followed by a manifestation of the Spirit of God.”  I bear witness that this is the truth. We learned this principle when I was a student at Oral Roberts University. This compassion is given to us by God. It’s not simply a human compassion, empathy, or sympathy from our own emotions.

So for me and my intercessory prayer ministry, when God gives me compassion for your need to be met, I fully expect that when we pray together, we will receive the miraculous answer to our prayers. Healing will happen, provision will come, and God will supernaturally meet your needs. Here are some scripture verses that show the miraculous occurrences after Jesus had compassion upon the people.

Matthew 14:14; Jesus moved with compassion towards the multitudes and healed their sick.

Matthew 15: 32-39: Jesus had compassion on the 4,000 and fed them by miraculously multiplying the few loaves and fish.

Matthew 20: 29-34: Jesus had compassion on two blind men, and healed both of them.

Mark 1: 41: Jesus had compassion on a leper and healed him.

Mark 5: 1-20; Jesus had compassion on the man with the Legion of demons and delivered him.

Mark 6: 35-44, Jesus moved with compassion on well over 5,000 of His followers and miraculously fed them all and had an abundance of bread and fish leftover.

Luke 7: 13-15; Jesus moved with compassion on a widow burying her only son and raised him from the dead.
