Jesus Christ Is Lord

In order for Jesus to be Lord of our lives, we must each submit our will to His and be willing to give up anything that would hinder our doing the will of God. The key to understanding Jesus’ Lordship is that He is already Lord of your life. We do not make Jesus Lord. But we must submit ourselves to His Lordship so that He has the preeminence that is rightfully His. We must give up our personal rights. Yielding to Jesus Christ as Lord also involves total and unreserved obedience. Fortunately for us, in addition to forgiving us from sin, Jesus sent His Holy Spirit to live within us and to be our counselor, comforter, and guide and help us throughout our days to live for Christ. He also gave us weapons — His Name, His Word, and the blood of Jesus to enable us to overcome all the work of the enemy. Hallelujah! We have the Victory In Christ Jesus our Lord!
