Most of us have learned, or at least heard of the Ten Commandments of Moses that the finger of  God gave him and engraved on two tablets of stone. They are listed in Exodus 20:3-17.  And these are a good set of rules to live by. Many of the laws of the land are based upon these rules. And God commanded His people, the Hebrews (or Israelites) to follow them.

But as Christians, God does not ask us to live by a set of rules. Jesus said that if we simply followed these two  guidelines in life, we would then fulfill ALL Ten Commandments.  What are these two?  Love God, and Love People. This is our motto at Victory In Christ! We love God first and foremost; then we love people.

“Jesus replied, ‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.” ~~ Matthew 22:37-40.

When you reread the Ten Commandments you can see how that by loving God and loving people you exceed and fulfill the requirements of Moses’ Law.
