Our Spiritual Armor

God has provided for our protection through the “spiritual armor of God” that we learn of in Ephesians 6. This spiritual armor protects us from attacks by Satan and his minions. Our belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, having our feet shod with the gospel of peace, taking the shield of Faith, and using the sword of the Holy Spirit surround us with supernatural protection. Therefore we pray:

I will walk in the faith You have instilled in me, Lord. I will trust in You today to protect my mind, emotions, body, and spirit. I want Your Word to be a living part of everything that’s going on in my life. I am putting on the whole armor of God.

We are not unarmed when we go into battle with the enemy. We have weapons of our warfare that enable us to defeat the devil! We gain the victory in Christ who dwells within us who believe.

“weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ” ~~ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5 (NIV).
